HI, I'M LORI

Thanks for being here

This blog feels like a full-circle moment. I went to school for TV, started my career in New York at MTV Networks in Times Square, earning $433 a week and surviving on wonton soup and turkey sandwiches from the bodega near my Washington Heights apartment. Then I came home to Toronto to work in entertainment news – interviewing celebrities on red carpets, movie junkets and TV sets.

I’ve always loved storytelling, sharing my favourite things and finding ways to live a happy and meaningful life.

In 2021, when the world slowed down, I started Now It’s Clean as a creative outlet. What began as cleaning and laundry tips grew into a community of people who wanted homes and lives – that felt lighter and more manageable. Since then, things have evolved.

These days I share it all: home, travel, beauty, wedding planning, and my favourite finds. I live by my to-do list, and I believe consistency is a cheat code.

Right now, I’m a bride-to-be knee-deep in destination wedding planning — usually in my PJs, sipping Sauvignon Blanc, eating Neapolitan-style pizza, and debating whether our honeymoon will be a world cruise or an African safari.

I created this space to share my thoughts, experiences, and shenanigans all in one place and on my own terms. Whether you’re here for cleaning hacks, beauty tips, wedding inspo, or just to hang out, I’m glad you’re here. Brew some tea, scroll around, and make yourself at home.
